In such moments, we wish to lead a different life, to rouse our curiosity, to experience and develop a passion for learning something new. We come to realize that we haven\u2019t chosen what we have lived; that our history \u2013 our group, social, and family history \u2013 is a force that automatically determines both our choices and our actions. We distance ourselves from our day-to day life and then give ourselves the space to serenely perceive our inner self. By means of breathing, we begin to become aware of our body. We give ourselves the opportunity to calmly, sincerely reconsider what is it that we want, what we are thinking about, what we are hearing, what we are observing. Learning to breathe slowly, deeply, and serenely relaxes our nervous system and brings about calm. And so, we calmly analyze our life, our possibilities, and our relationships. We acknowledge the kind of life we lead and the kind of life we desire to lead. Lust for life is reborn in you, as well as a desire to create things, to change and transform yourself. Thus empowered, we have a positive effect on our environment, because when we change, our world changes with us. The outside cannot limit us any longer.
